Once again we are all gathered together for a Joyous And Thankful Christmas. This is the time of the year when family and friends have a wonderful celebration. Bringing all the good tasting variety of foods, drinks, laughter, and good conversations. Above all let’s not forget and express to the host or hostess how wonderful the decorations all appear.
Having a Delightful Time
Now, we are having this Joyous And Thankful Christmas. We enjoy watching our little ones playing, making a fuss, laughing, and getting to know one another again. What a pleasure it is to have Fun Time For Everyone! At least for now the little ones aren’t paying any attention to the grown ups.
Just smell the aromas throughout the place! What will we be serving? There will be lots of goodies for the little ones of course. No-one will be throwing away any of the food being served for dinner. Then we will take sometime of course to play with the children just to let them know that they are LOVED. What a Joyous And Thankful Christmas this will be.
While the ladies are all in the kitchen gathering all of the necessary items. The gentlemen are all playing with the young guys, enjoying their cool refreshments, and of course a nice mild glass of wine. Not for them to get drunk or anything just for enjoyment purposes only. Once in a while the ladies would be joking around bragging about the latest fashion wear, and where we can go on a vacation to have a Joyous Thankful Time For Everyone.
Even though we know that the gentlemen of course would like for us to at least put a cap on the spending. Like we say it’s all for enjoyment of gathering together, after working so hard during the whole year.
Joyous Thankful Time For Everyone
While setting the tables up with the beautiful place settings, and all the different size of glasses. As we all prepare to have a seat at the table, making sure the little ones are comfortable with the high chairs if need be. Now we make the announcement to everyone that dinner is served. Once everyone is seated it’s time to give thanks. BLESSINGS! Having a Joyous-fun-time-for-everyone. Make sure that the little ones have their bibs on so that they won’t make too much of a mess.
Thankful Time
Of course, we will be making sure that the foods that we serve will be a healthy selection so that no one will not enjoy themselves. Easy to digest without having any discomforts and just enough. We truly are having a Joyous and Thankful Christmas. Everyone is having a great time, with no disagreements. Surprisingly enough, my family liked for me to bake my Zucchini Bread so each family could take a loaf and have their own, and some wouldn’t share. Everyone wants one of their own.
MY ZUCCHINI BREAD RECIPE:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of white sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup unsweetened applesauce (instead of vegetable)
- 3 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups of KING ARTHUR all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 3 cups grated zucchini ( making sure that I pat off some of the excess liquid)
- 1 1/2 cup of pecan’s
- 1 1/2 cup of raisin’s
- Grease my 8 x 4 inch pans adding some flour for coating. Oven preset at 325 degrees F
- Using 2 mixing bowls, 1 for my dry ingredients and the other for the liquid ones.
- I hand stir my batter to make sure all the ingredients blend in well.
- Then I add into my dry batter slowly mixing it all together with my liquid mix along with either pecan’s or raisin’s. Bake for 40 to 60 minutes, while testing the center to make sure all is done. ** THE SECRET INGREDIENT IS LOVE **

Just before everyone starts their travels back home, we always attend church as a family. Thanking our heavenly Father for blessing us for being able to spend time once again.
